Burlyville School of Burlesque introduces... Burlesque 101 with Elsie & Dixie! This 5-week workshop is designed to introduce burlesque movement, history & culture, and cultivate confidence! We will first introduce the basic movements of burlesque including but not limited to: bumps & grinds, shimmies & shakes, and struts! We will then learn a group routine combining these movements in the classic burlesque style! We will also cover the history of burlesque, how the art form started and how it has involved throughout the 20th century and beyond. Burlesque 101 will focus on the following elements: basic burlesque movement glove & stocking peels using props chair work group choreography floor work confidence eye contact comedic timing stage presence using improvisation burlesque dos and don'ts persona, pasties, and so much more! This class is for students ages 18 and up. PRICING DETAILS: *If you have any questions or concerns about payments or payment plan options, please do not hesitate to send us a message!* Earlybird Registration Options: 1. 1 payment of $200 – due August 15th 2. 2 payments of $100 each- first payment due August 8th, second due Tuesday August 15th. Regular Registration: 1 payment of $225 – available August 16th -August 22nd Your class fee covers all 5 classes. There are not currently any make-up classes available for any dates missed. There will be a $50 late cancellation fee for cancellations after August 18th.
