Arika

Arika’s passion for movement and performing started at a young age. She specializes in Lyra, rope, sling and silks. She also has been teaching and performing hoop arts as well as hand balancing. A collegiate and national championship cheerleader and dancer, Arika found yoga in her last year at North Carolina State University to go along with maintaining her body for cheering. Yoga quickly turned into contortion training and one day while scrolling through Instagram she saw a woman practicing contortion on a lyra. She found the closest studio which happened to be Cirque De Vol Studios in Raleigh, NC and she signed up for a private lesson immediately.
Fast forward after a year of training on Lyra, silks, and trapeze, Arika went to be certified through Volare and Party Girl Dance and Fitness in aerial hoop and aerial yoga. She began to teach almost every aerial apparatus and aerial yoga and contortion in Chattanooga Tennessee and San Diego California.
In 2018 she got certified in Rope and Silks through Born to Fly with Constance Palmer in Charlotte, NC and up until Covid hit she has been teaching and performing in Raleigh, NC with her home studio being Cirque De Vol.
